SEPULTURA Drummer's INDIRETO Project Schedules Brasilia Workshop
August 11, 2011INDIRETO, the Brazilian experimental project featuring SEPULTURA drummer Jean Dolabella and SCARCUS guitarist Augusto Nogueira, has scheduled a workshop/live appearance on September 19 in Brasilia, Brazil. More information can be found on the flyer below.
Formed in 2006, INDIRETO's musical direction sees Jean and Augusto freeing themselves "from musical-style rules and mak[ing] a sound which mixes both their own different influences and the technique they acquired in their rich professional journeys," according to the band's official bio.
Although INDIRETO's debut EP features guest appearances by bassists Leonardo Quinto and Renato Tomasso, the band is made up only of Nogueira and Dolabella, who are responsible for all the additional instrumentation as well as the production on the CD.
Nogueira and Dolabella first met each other in 1995 have since established "a fruitful exchange of knowledge" through Jean's participation in SCARCUS' two album recordings and various workshop events in Brazil.
Dolabella was forced to sit out several shows on SEPULTURA's current European tour because he was suffering from muscle pain in his arms. His temporary replacement was Amilcar Christfaro from the Brazilian thrash band TORTURE SQUAD.
